As the sample fluid flows through the ViPA flow cell, it is lit by a high intensity LED strobe light. The ViPA video microscope captures pictures of the particles, droplets and bubbles in the sample fluid while it flows and sends these images to the ViPA software for analysis. The flow cell itself can be machined from a variety of materials including 316SS, Duplex 2507, Monel, Hastelloy C and Titanium. The optical windows are made from industrial sapphire which is extremely hard and chemical resistant. The standard flow cell is rated for continuous operation at 120 Bar (1740 psi) and 120°C (248°F) with options available for both higher pressures and temperatures.
