Jorin's new liquid flow loop facility is fully operational providing a pilot scale testing facility for instrumentation and separation/filtration packages.

The loop is piped in 50mm diameter tubing and designed to run at controlled flow velocities of up to 5 mS-1 and has independent oil, solids and air injection facilities. The 10,000 litres loop reservoir and its coalescing filtration system allows continuous running for extended periods with water being constantly cleaned back to virtually no oil/solid particles contamination or the loop can be run in a recycle mode at set contamination levels.

Test stations are available in both horizontal and vertical flow sections and the loop has positions for on-line and in-line instrumentation, including several Jorin ViPA units, as well as manual sampling points for additional physical and chemical analyses; this allows complete characterisation of both the liquids in the loop and the performance of the tests' subjects with much of the data being produced in real-time.

Already in operation the loop, is currently testing a separation package performance and a new in-line sensor unit and is available for rental on weekly rates; due to the modular nature of the loop, design modifications can easily be accommodated to allow the most appropriate testing and analysis regimes to be undertaken.
