The Jorin ViPA software is at the cutting edge of particle analysis tools with some of the most advanced particle recognition and measurement algorithms in the world. Taking the images captured by the ViPA analyser, the ViPA software measures and calculates 18 different parameters for each particle recorded and uses these measurements to classify up to eight separate particle populations simultaneously and it does this continuously in real-time.
The ViPA operates by analysing a single image from the video feed at a time and analysing all the objects present. The software analyses 20 full images each second and a database of information is rapidly built. While the software is delivered pre-configured to produce data on droplets and particle, the user can configure all of the aspects of data gathering and reporting to suit their own needs and processes.
Typical data delivered by the software will include size distributions and concentration data. In this first graph mixture of 3 certified particle size standards is measured to demonstrate the accuracy and resolving power of the ViPA size measurement.
The second graph shows the accuracy and correlation of the ViPA's concentration measurements by showing a plot of ViPA reported oil in water concentration against the oil in water concentration of the same sample reported by a renowned UV fluorescence oil in water monitor for a 35API crude.
ViPA software is being continuously developed, developed to enhance the range of particles that can be identified, developed to provide ever more accurate and reliable data, developed to provide the most relevant and critical data from your process fluid and most importantly developed to be easier and simpler to use despite the research grade flexibility available from the software.
